This meticulously researched and beautifully illustrated tome highlights the milestones among European and American bindings from that collection. It's a delight for the eye as much as an important scholarly work for the sophisticated bibliophile.

Fletcher, H. George: - H. George Fletcher was the Astor Curator of Printed Books and Bindings at The Morgan Library & Museum and the inaugural Brooke Russell Astor Director for Special Collections at The New York Public Library. In 2013, France awarded him the Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
