Victor Villaseñor is the author of national bestsellers Rain of Gold and Burro Genius. Both memoirs are widely taught in high schools and universities throughout the country. Raised in the barrio of Carlsbad, California, primarily by his Yaqui grandmother, Victor overcame severe dyslexia and cultural barriers to become an internationally recognized writer. His books celebrate Indigenous wisdom, Latino heritage, family stories, healing Our Mother Earth, World Harmony and Peace, and that there is only One Race, Our Human Race.
