Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Geologie, Mineralogie, Bodenkunde, Note: 1.0, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Geographisches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit sollen mit Hilfe von Fernerkundungsdaten Kaffeeanbauflächen in zwei Gebieten im Südosten Brasiliens, Espírito Santo und eine vergleichbare Region im Süden Minas Gerais, detektiert und untersucht werden. Hierbei soll konkret überprüft werden, ob mit öffentlich zugänglichen satellitengestützten Daten der Landsat-Serie Kaffeeplantagen im Untersuchungsraum langfristig erfasst werden können. Um aussagekräftige und nach-vollziehbare Ergebnisse zu erzielen, ist eine überwachte Klassifikation mehrerer jährlicher Zeitscheiben von 2000 bis einschlie lich 2018 vorgesehen. Die Lage und Verbreitung von Kaffeeplantagen wird dabei anhand eines Ansatzes für maschinelles Lernen (englisch machine-learning) ermittelt. Innerhalb dessen werden zwei unterschiedliche Forschungsansätze in der Verwendung von Trainingsdaten verglichen und hinsichtlich ihrer Verwendbarkeit in der Herausfilterung von Kaffeeanbauflächen getestet. Ziel der Erfassung ist es, Kaffeeplantagen im Südosten Brasiliens möglichst genau zu identifizieren und Abschätzungen über deren Verteilung und Ausweitung zu geben. Hierbei soll der Bundesstaat Espírito Santo als primäres Untersuchungsgebiet verwendet werden. Bei erfolgreicher Durchführung soll das Forschungsvorhaben auf die zweite Region im Süden Minas Gerais übertragen werden. Auf Basis der grundlegenden Zielstellung ergeben sich dahingehend folgende Forschungsfragen, welche im Zuge der Masterarbeit beantwortet werden sollen: 1: Lassen sich Kaffeeplantagen mit Hilfe von globalen Landbedeckungs- und Landnutzungskarten herausfiltern? 2: Liefern Vegetationsindices als Indikator einen Beitrag in der Detektion von Kaffee? 3: Lassen sich bestimmte Einflüsse feststellen, die die Wirksamkeit der Ausweisung von Kaffeeplantagen bed
