Your round-trip ticket to the wildest, wackiest, most outrageous people, places, and things the Sunflower State has to offer! Whether you're a born-and-raised Kansan, a recent transplant, or just passing through, Kansas Curiosities will have you laughing out loud as Pam Grout and Deborah Bouziden takes you on a rollicking tour of the strangest sides of the Sunflower State.

  • Visit the Museum of the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Things--and get your own largest ball starter kit.
  • Meet more chainsaw-wielding, glow-in-the-dark-scrap-metal-zoo-building, grapefruit-peel-sculpting, papier-mch-mixing, porcelain-pig-painting grassroots artists than you can shake a stick at!
  • Get a load of Big Brutus, a sixteen-story coal shovel that has become a popular tourist attraction; and discover the thrill of an indoor hurricane--it'll blow you away.

Deborah Bouziden is a full time freelance writer, speaker, teacher, certified Journal Technique Instructor, and creative coach. Her love affair with words began at the age of six when she learned to read. Her favorite book was "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London. It was the first book she owned, given to her as a Christmas present from her grandmother. It sits on her bookshelf, and she loves it as much now, as she did then. Bouziden began writing and publishing magazine articles in 1985. She has published hundreds of articles, which have appeared in numerous magazines such as Writer's Digest, Woman's Day, The Writer, Personal Journaling, Byline, Lady's Circle, ParentLife, OKC Business, and many others.

Pam Grout has written more books than she can count on both hands. Despite her literary agent's advice to build a platform (which means pick a genre and stick with it), she has written books about breathing, God, creativity, the environment, the mind-boggling power of one person to make a difference, and Colorado, to name but a few topics.
