Kasdeja is the poignant story of Renee, a mother consumed by deep and razor-sharp grief after her daughter Desiree's tragic abortion-linked death. On the first anniversary of her child's passing, inconsolable in her anguish, the pillars that have strengthened her life utterly collapse. Comforted by a visitation from an angel, Renee is propelled on a journey to seek justice and censure the defilers--those she holds responsible. Transforming into Angela Vendicare, she becomes a Spiritual Warrior in the Army of God. Her life now politicized and polarized, the dual persona of Angela/Renee moves back and forth between the conflicting worlds of pro-choice and pro-life factions. Observing the abysmal state of an intractable and divisive society, she is dismayed that the torment of the women and girls facing life-altering decisions is lost in the clamoring of rhetoric and political agendas. Immersed in this holy quest she is astonished to discover caring, sincere disciples as well as militants who prefer the use of violence to win their point. When she encounters the infamous Caleb, there is an aura of danger, an unsettling premonition of exploits in the offing. Five years after embarking on this journey, Renee courageously embraces her destiny, creating consequence she never imagined. What follows can only be described as gripping literature and a reminder of the unpredictability of life. Profoundly stirring and thought-provoking, Kasdeja offers vital lessons in the consequences of fanaticism and the significance of compassion. From the moving beginning to the stunning finale, this novel stands as a parable to reason, a timeless morality tale relevant to current events that should be taken to heart.

This is Drinda Jean's first foray into the realm of fiction, a book inspired by Divine Ordination and an adventure of profound joy for the author. She has been on a spiritual quest seeking answers to The Great Mystery for most of her life. Drinda is a student of spiritual truth and an explorer of sacred sites, the great-granddaughter of a Spiritualist Medium, and an ordained minister. For more than three decades she has counseled individuals, couples, and groups about relationships, managing change, and practicing forgiveness. She is recognized by her peers and those who have attended her programs as a dynamic, creative, and compassionate speaker and mentor. Drinda's unique approach to sharing experiences, ideas, and knowledge has inspired and empowered her numerous clients. The author created a methodology for managing personal and professional transformation entitled Change: Detonation or Fusion? She developed and facilitates Manifesting Unconditional Forgiveness, Spiritual Alchemy, and Surthriver, workshops designed to empower others on their spiritual journey. Drinda also has extensive experience in management consulting, training, and business ownership. Currently she lives in Northern California with her beloved husband Michael, has two wonderful daughters, a treasured grandson, two amazing sisters, an extended family of close friends, and is very active in her church.
