Die Leitfrage des vorliegenden Sammelbandes ist daher eine systematische: Inwieweit greift Kierkegaard in seiner Auseinandersetzung mit Hegels absolutem Idealismus auf Prinzip, Methode, Terminologie und praktische Absichten Fichte'schen Denkens zurück? Die Beiträge des Sammelbandes verfolgen diese Fragestellung von Kierkegaards Dissertation Über den Begriff der Ironie (1841) bis zur Krankheit zum Tode (1849). Das thematische Spektrum reicht von der Theorie des Selbstbewusstseins über die ethische Grundlagenreflexion bis zur anthropologischen Basis religiöser Selbstinterpretationen. Der Nachweis systematischer Bezüge zwischen beiden Autoren leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Verortung von Kierkegaards philosophischen Schriften im Diskussionskontext des Deutschen Idealismus. Er korrigiert gängige Auffassungen über den Weg der Philosophie zwischen Hegel und Kierkegaard.
