An Internet multiplayer game turns deadly when a diabolical killer masquerading as a harmless player threatens the lives of the other players. Without his father's permission, 17-year-old Elliott Anderson enters Star Gate, an Internet multi-player game with elements of virtual reality. In order to promote the game, the company producing Star Gate has offered a $100,000 prize. Unknown to Elliott and the other players, one of the contestants, Henry Freeman, is a homicidal maniac in dire financial straits. When Henry is eliminated from any serious chance of winning the prize money by Elliott and his co-conspirators, he vows revenge and begins to track down those who have destroyed him. Chase Anderson, Elliott's father, is an attorney with his eye on a judgeship. He learns of his son's participation in the game only after a series of events that threaten Elliott's life. Exposing Henry's true identity to stop him from killing his son and the other Star Gate competitors becomes his crusade. Killer App is the kind of contemporary, sexy thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and test your e-reader's battery as you flip pages well into the night.

Author Thomas Scott has been a practicing attorney for thirty-five years. He holds a B.S. degree, granted with High Distinction from Indiana University. He received his J.D. degree in 1977, also from Indiana University. Mr. Scott graduated Magna cum Laude despite holding down a full time job. His personal experiences make him abundantly qualified to author a novel such as Killer App. For fifteen years he was a single custodial parent having raised three children while building a successful law practice. Mr. Scott is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada and has traveled extensively, including Europe, South America, the Mediterranean and Caribbean. His hobbies include amateur astronomy, and computer gaming. An avid online multi-player game enthusiast, he has experienced the wrath of other game players, although thankfully not on the scale envisioned in Killer App. What if that other player out there was actually crazy enough to follow through on the threats often encountered in a typical game? Killer App was founded on such a premise. Mr. Scott has written manuals for legal seminars in which he has participated as an instructor. He was recently honored by being included in the National Business Leader's Who's Who.
