"Der intergalaktische Imperativ" ist eine mehrteilige Sience-Fiktion-Serie von Ralph J. Kloos. Die Handlung beginnt im Herbst des Jahres 2015 mit dem Pilot-Roman "Kolonie 7", der seit Januar dieses Jahres in seiner finalen überarbeiteten zweiten Version vorliegt. "Wenn der aktuelle Präsident der USA urplötzlich eine dritte Amtszeit "geschenkt" bekommt und Papst Franziskus von einem auf den anderen Tag spurlos verschwindet, dann wird klar, dass der Planet Erde ein essentielles Problem hat ... " Synopsis Im Winter 2015 entdeckt ein internationales Expeditionsschiff in der Karibik das Wrack einer unbekannten spanischen Schatz-Galeone, die keinen normalen Maya-Schatz an Bord hatte, sondern lediglich ein einziges goldenes Artefakt. Nach einer ersten Untersuchung am Meeresboden wird klar, dass diese Galeone offensichtlich durch eine gezielte Explosion an Bord zum Sinken gebracht wurde. Der geborgene Schatz wird in der Zwischenzeit an die archäologische Universität von Paris gebracht und dort der staunenden Presse und der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Im Vatikanischen Archiv erkennt der greise Archivar Paolo Casanate einen Zusammenhang dieses Untergangs mit einem Geheimbericht der katholischen Inquisition aus dem 16ten Jahrhundert und muss Papst Franziskus von einem unfassbaren Komplott berichten, der ihn daraufhin auf eine beschwerliche Mission nach Südamerika schickt, um die Hintergründe aufzuklären. Während die internationale Wissenschaft bei der Untersuchung des wertvollen Fundes mit mehreren unerklärlichen physikalischen Phänomenen konfrontiert wird, entwickelt sich ein paar Monate später eine mysteriöse Ausfall-Serie der erdnahen Kommunikationssatelliten. Im NSA-Headquarter in Fort Meade analysieren die staatlichen Hacker die Daten aus dem fernen Paris und erkennen in dem ursprünglich "historischen Artefakt aus dem Meer" eine potentielle Gefahr für die nationale Sicherheit der USA und den Rest der Welt. Durch die andauernden Pannen im All wird nicht nur das digitale Leben aller On-Line-Bürger verändert, sondern auch die weltweite Steuerung der US-amerikanischen Kampfdrohnen. Als sich Monate später die Satellitenausfälle besorgniserregend häufen, verstehen die Protagonisten, dass bei diesem Komplott eine Intelligenz im Spiel sein muss, die nicht von dieser Welt ist. Teil 2 wird Anfang 2016 veröffentlicht.
