Jänner 1995 haben sich auch für die Dachverbände der österreichischen Sozialpartner neue Herausforderungen ergeben. Die EU stellt heute eine weitere, wichtige Interaktionsebene für Akteure der österreichischen Sozialpartnerschaft dar. Der so genannte "Soziale Dialog" auf europäischer Ebene zeigt allerdings gewichtige Unterschiede zum hierzulande praktizierten Modell des Korporatismus, insbesondere was Form und Reichweite der Einbeziehung organisierter Interessen in den politischen Willenbildungs- und Entscheidungsprozess betrifft. Überhaupt, auf Unionsebene spielten korporatistische Muster bisher nur eine geringe Rolle - das galt primär für die tripartistische Form der Kooperation, sprich die Interaktion der Sozialpartner mit den europäischen Institutionen. Aber lässt sich aus heutiger Sicht, aufgrund der für die Sozialpartner so vielversprechenden Lissabon-Strategie und dem Vertrag von Lissabon, wo die Sozialpartner erstmals explizit genannt werden, ein Trend zu gesteigerten korporatistischen Kooperationsmustern auf europäischer Ebene erkennen? Diese Arbeit soll einerseits Informationen über die EU als neue Aktionsebene für die österreichischen Sozialpartner geben, welche gleicherma en einen grö eren Gestaltungsraum als auch bedeutende Einschränkungen mit sich bringt. Anderseits wird das Hineinwachsen nationaler Segmente in die europäische Struktur beleuchtet. Im Kapitel 2 sollen allgemeine Informationen über den Sozialen Dialog und die europäische Sozialpartnerschaft gegeben werden, während das darauffolgende Kapitel über die Integration der österreichischen Sozialpartner auf europäischer Ebene informiert. Weiters soll im Kapitel 4 ein Schwerpunkt auf die Auswirkungen, Probleme und die Zukunft der österreichischen Sozialpartnerschaft auf europ
