Neben dem Aufkommen in Politik und Wirtschaft sollen die Grundzüge der Korruption dargestellt werden. Welche Formen der Korruption gibt es und wie kann man diese von den anderen Formen trennen, welche Bedingungen müssen vorhanden sein, um Korruption überhaupt erst die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich in der Gesellschaft festzusetzen. Ein weiterer Punkt sind die verschiedenen Modelle, die bei der Korruptionsforschung angewandt werden, um Korruption erklären zu können. Gerade die Unterscheidung zwischen politischer und wirtschaftlicher Korruption ist ein erster Einstieg in die unterschiedlichen Betrachtungsweisen der Korruption in der Gesellschaft. Also muss man auch die beiden Begriffe "Grand Corruption" und "Small Corruption" darstellen. Weiterhin sollen die allgemeinen Folgen der Korruption auf die Wirtschaft und die Gesellschaft dargestellt werden. Hier soll das Schlagwort "Vertrauensverlust" die Richtung der Betrachtung vorgeben. Nachdem die allgemeinen Grundlagen gelegt sind, soll sich der zweite Hauptteil mit den wirtschaftlichen Folgen genauer befassen. Wie kann man die Fälle von Korruption wirtschaftlich untersuchen und welche Aussagen können durch diese Ergebnisse getroffen werden. Lassen diese wirtschaftlichen Analysen eine gültige Aussage zu oder können diese Analysen nur allgemeine Verhältnisse zwischen Korruption und wirtschaftlichen Folgen zu? Welche Auswirkung hat Korruption auf die Nettokapitalimporte und sind Investitionen von der Korruption abhängig? Welche Rolle hat der "Ruf eines Landes" auf die Wirtschaft, Investitionen, Im- und Export? Des Weiteren sollen in diesem Kapitel die eingeleiteten Ma nahmen zur Korruptionsbekämpfung genauer betrachtet werden. Welche Auswirkungen hatten diese Ma
