In 2007, she was promoted to Head of English, and most recently Head of Department for English. Elizabeth is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Member and Advocate of the Chartered College of Teaching and member of the Bennett and Dunnett Literary Society. In 2017, Elizabeth was elected to sit on the Steering Commonwealth Committee. Elizabeth continues to work closely with teachers, educators and learners both publicly and privately to promote the status of the profession and support teachers to gain expertise, to maintain genuine excellence in order to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
