La pr�sence de la danse durant les c�l�brations liturgiques de l'Eglise catholique de Centrafrique pose la question du rapport entre la danse et la liturgie. La danse liturgique n'est pas exclusive � un rite liturgique donn� car chaque rite est totalement libre dans ses pratiques liturgiques.
L'option relative � l'exclusion de la danse dans la liturgie du rite romain, motiv�e principalement par les finalit�s attribu�es � la danse dans la culture occidentale, ne doit pas �tre per�ue comme �tant un id�al contrariant pour les autres rites.
Ainsi, certaines familles liturgiques, notamment byzantine, �thiopienne et syriaque en font usage. Leur pratique de la danse est dite liturgique, c'est-�-dire conforme aux principes de la liturgie, car elle est inscrite dans les textes eucologiques. Pour les pays de mission du rite romain, par le biais de l'inculturation liturgique, la pratique de la danse
est possible, cependant elle doit se faire selon les r�gles de l'art en �vitant toute ambigu�t�. Il s'agit alors de la danse liturgique incultur�e. Mais il n'y a pas d'amalgame � faire entre les termes danse liturgique et danse liturgique incultur�e.

Zouatekongbo, Ghislain: - Ghislain Zouatekongbo, de nationalité centrafricaine, ordonné en septembre 2010, est prêtre de l'archidiocèse de Bangui. Depuis 2024, il est docteur en liturgie. Sa thèse traite de l'anthropologie liturgique, sur la problématique de l'existence de la danse liturgique, chemin actualisé, reconsidéré vers la compréhension du statut théologique de la danse dans le rite romain .
