About The Author

Kiriakovitch Triandafillov, Vladimir: - Vladimir Kiriakovitch Triandafi llov (1894-1931), ancien offi cier de l'armée tsariste, il rallie l'Armée rouge dès 1918 et s'illustre comme un brillant commandant durant la guerre civile. Devenu chef d'état-major adjoint de l'Armée rouge, il est considéré comme le véritable père de la doctrine de l'opération en profondeur. Son ouvrage, Le Caractère des opérations des armées modernes (1929), théorise l'usage combiné des blindés et de l'aviation pour détruire l'ennemi dans toute sa profondeur tactique et opérative. Il pose ainsi les fondations théoriques de la mécanisation de l'armée soviétique. Des travaux qui furent repris par Mikhaïl Toukhatchevski. Sa brillante destinée fut interrompue à l'âge de 37 ans par un accident d'avion près de Moscou.

Michael Maschek est enseignant à l'Université Paris Est Créteil en management et gestion de projet ainsi que l'usage du drone dans un département de Génie civil. Il s'intéresse au devenir de l'Armée rouge durant la guerre civile russe et la décennie qui suit. Il a dirigé la première traduction complète de Comment la Révolution s'est armée (5 volumes) de Léon Trotsky. Il a réalisé la première traduction de Stratégie de Svetchine.
