M P Prabhakar spent many years of his working life as a teacher and educator, having studied in Malaysia, India and the United Kingdom. He subsequently entered the Malaysian civil service as deputy director of the Curriculum Development Centre, Ministry of Education. Having retired from service, he joined a private education consultancy. He enjoys travel and has lived in and journeyed through various continents. He also enjoys writing, reading, drawing and painting. His life experiences, in general, provide him with much inspiration and insight for these and other pursuits. He believes that reading and writing poetry should be accessible to all and that the act of writing poetry opens the door to expression, reflection and ultimately, inner peace.
