L'auteur montre en effet que, par-del� les disciplines objectivantes qui s'attachent � �lucider le m�canisme du langage, seule la philosophie peut nous fournir une compr�hension d'ensemble de la parole humaine. La parole vive qui mobilise activement le langage pour faire sens, signifier, n'est pas r�ductible � ce que ces sciences nous disent syst�me sonore, montage neurologique, mobilisation ing�nieuse de l'appareil laryng�. On peut bien objectiver la parole parl�e, d�sert�e par celui qui lui a donn� naissance, mais l'essence de la parole doit �tre cherch�e dans ce que Merleau-Ponty appelle la parole parlante. La distanciation symbolique qu'elle effectue � l'�gard du r�el pose une transcendance au coeur m�me de l'immanence, constituant l'exp�rience humaine comme ouverture.
