La première édition du "petit livre des Esprits" en portugais est parue en 2007, en hommage aux 150ans du "le livre des Esprits" codifié par Allan Kardec.

Laure Bergallo est brésilienne de Rio de Janeiro. Elle a une formation en communication sociale et elle est écrivain pour jeunes, avec neuf livres publiés. Elle a reçu en 2007 le prix Jabuti - le plus important prix littéraire de la langue portugaise - avec son livre "Alice no Espelho" (Alice devant le miroir). Son livre "A Criatura" (La Créature) a reçu en 2006, le prix Adolfo Aizen. L'union Brésilienne d'Ecrivains l'a considéré comme le meilleur ouvrage pour la jeunesse des années 2004/2005. Gilberto Perez Cardoso est brésilien. Collaborateur et consultant de ce livre, il est médecin et professeur universitaire. Conférencier et écrivain spirite, il a publié avec Newton Boechat trois livres: "Do Atomo ao Arcanjo", "Na Madureza dos Tempos", "Aquém et Alem da Fronteira de Cinzas".
