Don Giuseppe Vercillo, sacerdote di Rende (Cosenza), membro dell'Accademia Pontaniana di Napoli e dell'Accademia Cosentina, dedica l'intera vita intellettuale allo studio del ruolo di Maria nella storia della Chiesa. In quest'opera magistrale, esamina con rigore teologico e profondit� storica le "relazioni" tra la Madre di Dio e la Chiesa Cattolica attraverso i secoli, dalle origini apostoliche fino alla met� dell'Ottocento.
