About The Book

Lorsqu'on �tudie le vocabulaire d'une langue de sp�cialit� quelle qu'elle soit, on se heurte tr�s vite � la question de savoir quelles sont les propri�t�s linguistiques des 'mots technique' par rapport aux 'mots non-techniques'. L'objectif de ce travail consiste donc d'abord � syst�matiser et regrouper les diff�rentes approches linguistiques qui, parfois de fa�on implicite ou marginale, se proposent de d�terminer les traits caract�ristiques du terme technique. Il s'agit de huit approches th�oriques au niveau de l'analyse diachronique, s�mantique, syntaxique, lexicale, pragmatique, contrastive, statistique et au niveau de la normalisation. Sur cette analyse est venue se greffer la question de savoir si dans la composition lexicale des inventaires qu'on appelle terminologie, nomenclature, lexique, vocabulaire, glossaire et th�saurus, le terme technique est un �l�ment primaire ou secondaire. L'approche statistique a �t� ensuite appliqu�e � un corpus de la langue de sp�cialit� �conomique du fran�ais et de l'allemand. Une �tude de statistique lexicale a permis d'�tablir pour la langue de sp�cialit� �conomique deux corpus fran�ais et allemand, regroup�s selon le crit�re fr�quentiel en deux tranches lexicales. La cat�gorisation lexicale s'inscrit dans une recherche didactique dont le but et une pr�sentation syst�matique du vocabulaire technique dans le cadre de l'enseignement et de l'auto-apprentissage des langues de sp�cialit�. Egalement dans une perspective contrastive, l'application du test de couverture de texte � deux exemples fran�ais et deux exemples allemands montre enfin qu'� l'aide d'un vocabulaire de base (1400 mots), d'un inventaire comprenant les mots internationaux ainsi que d'un travail de compr�hension au niveau des mots compos�s et d�riv�s, dont les constituants sont compris dans le vocabulaire de base, on arrive � un taux de couverture du texte d�passant les 90%, r�sultat qui s'est vu confirm� pour l'ensemble des textes analys�s.
