The author, Keshia L. Gaines, Ph.D., offers ground-breaking techniques to expand areas for learning opportunities. According to Dr. Gaines, students should learn from academic content on the school bus and other unique learning areas (the bus stop, cafeteria, playgrounds, bathrooms, academic clothing, etc.) Since students are not meeting academic expectations in the general classroom, it is important to consider all methods and areas for students to learn.

The vocabulary words from each chapter's word review are in bold lettering once within the chapter. In addition, a few QR Codes (Quick Response Codes) will be featured throughout the workbook. These QR Codes will take you directly to a web page when scanned by a smartphone with a QR Code app.

Audience and Purpose

This workbook is designed for use in various secondary classrooms and for general use by anyone who would like to complete reading comprehension and creative writing activities about the Bus-stop 2 Bus-stop(TM) method and learning outside the classroom. Learning on the School Bus is also appropriate for other academic courses because of its discussion questions, journal activities, informative graphics, vocabulary words, critical thinking areas, and more.
