A prolific writer, Wilson authored works on Hinduism, Parsi religion, and Indian archaeology, including A Memoir of Mrs. Margaret Wilson (1838), Religious Excavations of Western India (1875), and India Three Thousand Years Ago (1858). He also documented Buddhist, Brahmanical, and Jain temples, playing a pivotal role in the cultural and religious discourse between Britain and India during the colonial era.
