Welche Kriterien sind wichtig, um den Kompetenzerwerb in politischer Bildung zu überprüfen? Um diese Fragen beantworten zu können, widme ich mich zunächst der Grundlage aller Leistungsfeststellungen und Beurteilungen, nämlich der Leistungsbeurteilungsverordnung. Weiters untersuche ich neue Methoden und Zugänge der Leistungsfeststellung, die mit der Einführung des kompetenzorientierten Unterrichts bedeutend sind. Die zunächst banal wirkende Bedeutung der Begriffe "Diagnose", "Bewertung", und "Beurteilung" erscheint mir in diesem Zusammenhang ebenfalls als wichtig. Zuletzt werde ich mich mit dem Aufbau von kompetenzorientierten Aufgabenstellungen auseinandersetzen, sowie einige Möglichkeiten präsentieren, die neben den üblichen Tests und Lernzielkontrollen als Mittel zur Leistungsfeststellung dienen. Im Anhang der Arbeit sind von mir angefertigte Beispiele zu finden. Darunter befinden sich neben einem Vorschlag für einen Concept Cartoon auch ein Test für die Sekundarstufe I sowie eine mögliche Maturaaufgabe. Eine Aufgabe, die sich an dem Werk "Individualisierung und Differenzierung im Politikunterricht" von Kühberger und Windischbauer orientiert, liegt darin ebenfalls vor.
