Fakultät), Veranstaltung: Differentielle Psychologie des Lerners, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Motivation" ist ein Begriff, der für die Erklärung unserer alltäglichen Beobachtungen eine zentrale Rolle spielt. Wenn eine Person angestrengt und bemüht an etwas arbeitet und beständig versucht, ein bestimmtes Ziel zu erreichen, wird dies meist durch "hohe Motivation" erklärt, sowohl im Sport als auch in der Schule oder anderen Bereichen des alltäglichen Lebens. So scheint "Motivation" immer dann nötig zu sein, wenn etwas erreicht werden soll und dafür ein (hoher) Kraft- und Zeitaufwand nötig ist. Dies kann sowohl im Freizeitbereich von Bedeutung sein, vor allem aber in Schule und Beruf ist "Motivation" damit scheinbar ausschlaggebend für Erfolg und Misserfolg. So werden z.B. Schüler, die keine Anstrengung erkennen lassen, als "unmotiviert" bezeichnet. Damit werden Unterschiede im persönlichen Verhalten der Schüler erklärt und begründet bzw. Probleme an Schulen umschrieben. Im Allgemeinen scheint es zu Problemen zu kommen, wenn Schüler nicht "richtig motiviert" sind, dagegen wird vor allem erfolgreichen Schülern oftmals eine hohe Motivation unterstellt, ja, der Erfolg sogar durch diese Motivation erklärt. Motivation scheint also von gro er Bedeutung für menschliches Verhalten. Damit stellt sich natürlich die Frage, ob und wie damit gearbeitet werden kann. Um dies zu klären, werde ich in dieser Arbeit zunächst den Begriff der Motivation aus einem psychologischen Blickwinkel darstellen und kurz die Theorien der "klassischen Motivationspsychologie" vorstellen. Auf der Grundlage des Konstrukts "Leistungsmotivation" werden dann Möglichkeiten erörtert, Schülerverhalten zu erklären und zu verändern.
