Diese Frage soll anhand von theoretischen Grundlagen und einem Experteninterview beantwortet werden. Die Arbeit in Kindertageseinrichtungen stellt hohe Anforderungen an Erzieher. Neben dem täglichen Gruppengeschehen müssen eine Vielzahl an Aufgaben wie Beobachtungen, Dokumentationen, Elterngespräche, Planungen von Festen und das Arbeiten im Team bewerkstelligt werden. Dies erfordert nicht nur Disziplin und Zeitmanagement, sondern vor allem motivierte Erzieher. Motivation dafür, diese Herausforderungen anzunehmen und zu bewältigen. Motivation bringt die Erzieher nicht nur dazu, Herausforderungen anzunehmen, sondern kann auch die Zufriedenheit und Bindung an den Arbeitsplatz fördern sowie die Arbeitsleistung steigern. Hinzu kommt, dass motivierte Fachkräfte mit ihren Ideen, die Einrichtung zur Weiterentwicklung antreiben. Diesbezüglich ist Motivation nicht allein Aufgabe der Fachkräfte, sondern es müssen motivierende Bedingungen geschaffen werden. Eine besondere Rolle spielt dabei die Führungskraft einer Einrichtung. Laut einer Statistik aus dem Jahr 2017 gehört das Aussprechen von Wertschätzung auf Platz 1 zu dem Verhalten, was eine gute Führungskraft ausmacht und die Jobzufriedenheit steigert. Diese Statistik veranschaulicht die Bedeutung der Wertschätzung für Mitarbeiter. Die Leitung einer Kindertageseinrichtung trägt insbesondere die Personalverantwortung und muss somit ebenfalls dafür sorgen, dass ihre Mitarbeiter motiviert sind und effektiv arbeiten.
