Einleitung In der heutigen Gesellschaft ist es von enormer Bedeutung die Sprache in Schrift und Wort zu erlernen. Sowohl im beruflichen, wie auch im allt glichen Leben werden die F higkeiten des Lesens und Schreibens als selbstverst ndlich vorausgesetzt. Die Schule ist daf r verantwortlich, Lese- und Schreibfertigkeit zu vermitteln und zu festigen. Und obwohl die Bef higung zum Lesen und Schreiben schon im Grundschulalter manifestiert sein sollte, gibt es doch einige Sch ler und Sch lerinnen in h heren Klassen und auch Erwachsene, die darin erhebliche M ngel aufweisen. In der Literatur finden sich viele verschiedene Begriffe im Zusammenhang mit dem Ph nomen Lese- und Rechtschreibst rung. Sehr h ufig liest man Ausdr cke wie Legasthenie, Lese- und Rechtschreibschw che oder einfach Schwierigkeiten in den Bereichen Lesen und Schreiben. Ich jedoch m chte mich im weiteren Verlauf meiner Ausarbeitung auf die Begrifflichkeiten des ICD-10 und des DSM-IV berufen. Der ICD-10 ist eine internationale Klassifizierung psychischer St rungen, welche von der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) herausgegeben wird. Darin findet sich im Kapitel V (F 81) die Klassifizierung "umschriebene Entwicklungsst rungen schulischer Fertigkeiten" . In dem Unterabschnitt F 81.0 des Kapitels V ist ein klinisch-diagnostischer Leitfaden speziell f r "Lese- und Rechtschreibst rungen" aufgef hrt. Der DSM-IV ist ebenfalls eine Systematisierung psychischer St rungen.Dem Abschnitt F 81.0 aus ICD -10 entspricht im DSM-IV die Klassifizierung "Lernst rungen" mit dem Unterabschnitt 315.00 "Lesest rungen" . Beide Schemata ordnen Lese- und Rechtschreibst rungen diagnostizierbaren Entwicklungsst rungen zu. Denn bei Sch lern und Sch lerinnen m
