Dans "L'homme qui saigne", Emmanuel Sala, poète et hémophile, nous raconte son cheminement hors du commun à la découverte de la dimension symbolique du sang. L'auteur aborde, par un savant mélange d'intuition, d'expérience et d'étude, les questions de la vie et de la mort et relate en des termes bouleversants comment il découvre, dans "l'observation amoureuse" de son sang, l'infini présent au coeur de nos vies. Ce livre tient tout à la fois de l'autobiographie, de l'essai philosophique et du poème, trois dimensions qui sont, pour l'auteur, indissociables dans sa démarche. Un récit initiatique universel qui a la force des histoires vécues. "Mon sang ne m'appartient pas. C'est l'espace infini qui coule dans mes veines, le noir ciel étoilé qui circule en moi. La vie m'est donnée, pour un temps. C'est un don immense mais ce n'est pas de la générosité, ce n'est pas un don humain. Ce corps inerte que j'étais a été traversé par le courant sans fin du cosmos, par le flux des espaces froids et silencieux. Le sang est un liquide mais c'est parce qu'il a pris forme humaine. En réalité, il est le lent passage de l'éternité."

About The Author

Compositeur de musique et poète, Emmanuel Sala est né dans une famille ouverte à l'art, à la spiritualité et à la philosophie. Sensible à la dimension invisible des choses, il cherche, depuis toujours, à l'exprimer dans son art. Hémophile, les rudes épreuves de santé qu'il traverse aiguisent encore plus sa quête de compréhension du monde. Il compose plus d'une centaine de chansons et crée en 2002 un duo avec sa femme Sophie Sala, Duo Soma, qui effectue de nombreux concerts en France et à l'étranger. En tant qu'auteur, il écrit des textes pour des chansons. Son travail sur le sang débute par l'écriture d'une pièce de théâtre, "Une histoire avec le sang", qu'il joue seul sur scène dans une mise en scène de Quetzal Barrera. Depuis quelques années, à la suite de ce travail sur la "dimension infinie du corps", et malgré ses difficultés physiques, il pratique la danse contact improvisation et le mouvement sensoriel.
