A la misma vez, la información contenida en este libro nos puede ayudar a analizar información demográfica de un sector significativo de la población caborrojeña durante un preciso periodo de tiempo.

El Sr. César A. Zapata Lozada es ingeniero ambiental egresado de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez. Desde joven ha estado interesado en la historia de Puerto Rico y de sus antepasados. Durante su educación como ingeniero civil en el Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez, tomo sus electivas socio humanísticas en historia y artes. Como pasatiempo, ha hecho investigación histórica y genealógica en varios archivos eclesiásticos y archivos históricos de Puerto Rico. Es miembro de la Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Genealogía y ha publicado dos artículos en la Revista Hereditas de la Sociedad Puertorriqueña de Genealogía, Los Zapata del Suroeste de Puerto Rico (2015) y Las Aventuras de Francisco Lozada y las Familias Lozada de Cabo Rojo (2017). Lleva sobre 15 años investigando familias e historia del suroeste de Puerto Rico, concentrándose en los pueblos de Cabo Rojo, San Germán, Lajas, Mayagüez, y Peñuelas. Es descendiente de las familias Zapata, Lozada, López de Victoria, Ramírez de Arellano, Vélez Borrero, Pabón Dávila, Pérez de Bonilla, del Toro, de la Seda, Irizarry, de Torres y Figueroa, y otras familias criollas del suroeste de Puerto Rico.
