THIS SINGLE-PERSPECTIVE, ONENESS THEOLOGICAL Argument was written with the sole purpose of providing Biblical truth, understanding, clarity, as well as revelation to all individuals-the Believer and non-Believer alike, with regard to an extremely important, highly misunderstood, mis-taught, controversial, as well as notorious subject matter-Life After Death/the Afterlife/the Hereafter. Now, in achieving this objective, I have chosen to utilize an in-depth approach of the Word of God. In short, I have provided several key Scriptures in the hope of removing any non-Biblical views as well as misconceptions of such a vital Biblical subject matter; thus, improving one's Christian walk with God. With this said, I would like to submit the following Thesis as the central assertion of this theological paper: Life After Death/the Afterlife does exist! Hence, the true Biblical Stand, with reference to the Afterlife, is set-forth according to the Word of God via Divine-revelation of "the deep and secret things" of God. Not, as advocated by countless 21st-Century Christian (so called) denominations, claiming that one's spirit (not soul, by the way) immediately goes to Heaven following physical, bodily death. The general presupposition, then, rests solely upon the following Claim: One's spirit (again, not one's soul) will either enter into an intermediate place for the departed spirits of the righteous, awaiting resurrection-The Bosom of Abraham (a.k.a., Paradise), or it will go straight to a place of constant torment, anguish, destruction, misery, punishment, and fire-Hell (a.k.a., Tartaros), following physical, bodily death, depending upon the state of one's spirit. Meaning, is one's spirit spiritually alive or spiritually dead? In short and plainly stated, the existence of Purgatory and/or Limbo are non-existent! By the way, this Single-perspective, Oneness Theological Argument will be presented from a purely Apostolic Doctrinal perspective-God's perspective. With this said, the current viewpoint of Orthodoxy (Secular) Christianity, then, may be said to be laden with numerous Scriptural, spiritual, and theological inconsistencies. In other words, after doing my own Biblical study and research, I have encountered much error being taught within many Christian denominations (Orthodoxy as well as Oneness alike) as being Biblical. With this said, contrary to standard expository writing guidelines, it is my professional opinion that this has occurred due to a lack of Biblical understanding, faulty Biblical research, spiritual blindness and deafness, improper application of hermeneutics and exegesis, as well as being guilty of not having a proper walk with God (c.f., Ephesians 3:17). This, unfortunately, has caused non-Biblical doctrinal teaching that has led to false doctrine regarding Life After Death/the Afterlife/the Hereafter. With this said, as you carefully read through this Single-perspective, Oneness Theological Argument, I ask that you sincerely pray-seeking after The Wisdom of God-asking God to unveil His truth, in order to open-up your spiritual eyes and unplug your spiritual ears; to provide complete understanding and clarity of this profound, life-impacting subject matter; as well as, to reveal the reality of Life After Death existing (including the spiritual significance of The Afterlife) as clearly described within Luke 16:19-31.
