I've written this book as a retired American citizen. I've been a student, an athlete, a laborer, a veteran, a teacher, a businessman, a gardener, a dog lover, and a husband and father of 2. This personal history has influenced my opinions on a variety of political, economic, and social issues that are shared by many of us. The resulting essays are original, and some have found their way into local newspapers. Quite often they have caused heated back-and-forth commentary. This pervasive "Push Back" became the catalyst for compiling "LIKE IT IS". In general, the content is a collage of reactions to events that affect our lives.
