She is inspired by her younger brother's story and the strength of young kids around the world who desire to engage in unfiltered healthy conversation after death and loss. Her efforts are strengthened by being the founder of the nonprofit organization, The Recharge Project Incorporated, where she hosts monthly grief support sessions for children in grief. She fills her spare time with community engagement, service, travel, and spending time with family and loved ones.
