About The Book

Kathy Jean paints a portrait of a life typical of many caught in the web of emotional or physical abuse, cycle of destructive behavior and trap of deceptive thoughts. She runs but LOVE chases her. She seeks and TRUTH finds her. Most of her life she wears a mask to look picture perfect. Then, one day she realizes that the scars scabbed on the inside of her soul need healing found beyond this world. Now, the unsightly blemishes she abhorred are a constant reminder of God's sovereignty and faithfulness.

About The Author

Kathy Jean arrived into the world strong-willed and dogged determination has been tapped as a resource. She was raised by Christian parents but would not describe the home place as Christ-centered. She learned work ethic by working in the family business that her dad owned. She strived to be perfect to gain the applause of her father. She loved her mom dearly who leaked Jesus day in and day out. Stained by losing her innocence as a child and scarred by shoving the secret to the dungeon in her heart, Kathy felt alone in shame. At thirty-something, she came to know Christ personally as Savior. At forty-something, she began to trust foundational truths in the Bible while on staff in Radio at Precept Ministries International. At fifty-something, she came to accept that the blood Jesus shed on the Cross washed her clean and unblemished. God mapped Kathy's life before one breath exhaled. Today, she passionately shares the love of Christ as opportunity arises. Since 2009, she's served in different capacities at Billy Wayne Ministries located in Kingsport, Tennessee: counselor for I'm Accepted Camp to at-risk students held in Gatlinburg, prayer leader at Beach Week Blast for church youth held in Myrtle Beach, counselor for the altar ministry at the LampLight Theatre and leader of the Women's Bible Study at The Emporium.
