Primero se registra la transacción y luego se transmite para verificar su validez. Si se comprueba que es legítima, las transacciones se agrupan en bloques que se vinculan permanentemente. Finalmente, la transacción se completa. Una vez registrados los datos, no se pueden modificar. Este factor dificulta mucho el hackeo, ya que para cambiar un bloque hay que cambiar el resto de la cadena, sabiendo que el bloque cambiado es inmediatamente inválido y rompe la cadena de información.
