Returning to her Scottish hometown wasn't her plan. Neither was falling for her first boyfriend all over again.
Kirsty Munro thought she'd left for good when she escaped her small Scottish hometown for London fourteen years ago. But when family duty calls, the journalist finds herself managing her parents' quaint café on the Aberdeenshire coast.
That's not the only thing she finds.
Back from his offshore job is Connor Bannerman - a.k.a the burly oil rigger and former rugby player who possessed Kirsty's heart when they were teenagers. He's single, chiselled as a Greek god, and harbouring enough scorching chemistry with Kirsty to inflame the entire town. But Connor is also the first man to ever break her heart - a mistake he's never stopped torturing himself over. Kirsty is the first and only woman he ever loved, but he can't tell her how he feels. Ever.
Thrust back into each other's lives in the gossipy small town of Cairnhaven, Kirsty and Connor can't escape their sizzling tension and unfinished history. Forced to work together at the local food festival, they soon give in to their long-buried yearning for each other, igniting red-hot magic...
But their rekindled fling might not be enough to heal the emotional wounds they've nursed for years. How is Connor going to silence his demons and win Kirsty back, when her London world is tempting her with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
Kirsty must choose: return to the rat race - or gamble it all on the rugged, handsome Scot who first showed her how to love...
