Schon der Verlag bewirbt das Buch mit dem Spannungsfeld zwischen Fakt und Fiktion, der sich in diesem (scheinbar) autobiografischen Roman von Rafael Horzon zeigen soll. Während dieser gleichzeitig Autor, Figur und Erzähler seines Romans darstellt, fällt es schwer, eine Grenze zwischen eben diesen drei Instanzen zu ziehen. An welchen Stellen finden wir wahre Begebenheiten, wo zeigen sich fiktive Elemente und werden eventuell sogar faktuale Erlebnisse fiktionalisiert? Diese letzte These, die Fiktionalisierung von faktualen Begebenheiten in Horzons Werk soll im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit stehen, denn gerade hier findet sich die Relevanz der Medienkombinatorik. So ist nämlich "Das weisse Buch" nicht nur ein Roman auf Textbasis, es sind zudem zahlreiche schwarz-wei Fotos enthalten, die Bezug zu Schilderungen aus dem Werk nehmen und bestimmte Ereignisse belegen sollen. Bei näherer Betrachtung wird sich jedoch zeigen, dass genau hier mit Fakt und Fiktion gespielt wird und das unzuverlässige Erzählen eine neue Dimension erreicht: Unzuverlässiges Erzählen im Foto-Text. Und zudem scheint hier der Bereich des Werkes zu liegen, der "kontrovers diskutiert" (Suhrkamp Verlag AG 2011) werden kann. Um all dies näher zu betrachten, soll also in dieser Arbeit zum einen das unzuverlässige Erzählen in der Theorie erläutert werden, aber auch im besonderen Ma e an diesem Werk als Foto-Text in der Praxis gezeigt werden. Das medienkombinatorische unzuverlässige Erzählen soll zudem anhand von ausgewählten Beispielen betrachtet werden und im Fazit eine abschlie ende Antwort auf die Fiktionalisierung oder auch Faktualisierung des Textes durch die Wechselwirkung mit den eingefügten Fotos gefunden werden.
