About The Author

Domingo-Luis Hernández [Álvarez] nació en Los Realejos, isla de Tenerife en el año 1954.

Es Licenciado en Filosofía y Letras, Sección de Filología Hispánica, por la Universidad de La Laguna. Leyó la Tesis Doctoral, La narrativa de Roberto Arlt, el 12 de setiembre del año 1992. Obtuvo la calificación de Apto cum Laude por Unanimidad y el Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado de la Facultad de Filología Española de la Universidad de La Laguna.

Es Funcionario de Carrera de Profesores Titulares de Universidad. Título expedido en La Laguna en junio de 1995. Y profesor de la ULL, Facultad de Filología, Departamento de Filología Española.

Especialista en Literatura Hispanoamericana, pertenece a la Sección de esa rama desde su fundación y ha impartido clases de Literatura Hispanoamericana Contemporánea, de Literatura Hispanoamericana de la Época Colonial, además de los Cursos de Doctorado sobre Roberto Arlt, la picaresca española o Literatura y frontera.

Su larga trayectoria investigadora, combina estudios de literatura hispanoamericana, española y europea contemporánea.
