Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Kulturwissenschaften - Sonstiges, Note: 1,3, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Seminararbeit soll sich mit den auftretenden Schwierigkeiten bei der Übersetzung von Lyrik befassen und sich somit mit der These der Unübersetzbarkeit und Übersetzbarkeit von lyrischen Werken auseinandersetzen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es der portugiesischen Poetin Joana da Gama eine Stimme zu verleihen. Sie gilt als moderne Frau, die ihrer Zeit voraus war. Dabei ist ihr grö tes Werk Ditos da Freira, in welchem ihr Gedicht Soneto veröffentlicht wurde. Dieses soll Forschungsgegenstand dieser Seminararbeit sein. Dafür wurde das Sonett da Gamas aus dem Werk von Vanda Anastácio (2013) Uma Antologia Improvável? A escrita das mulheres (1495-1830) entnommen. Im Rahmen der Seminararbeit soll zunächst geklärt werden, was unter Lyrik überhaupt zu verstehen ist und eine mögliche Definition gegeben werden. Des Weiteren soll auf den historischen Hintergrund der Epoche und auf Joana da Gamas Leben selbst eingegangen werden, um zu verstehen, welche Themen ihre Zeit und ihr Leben prägten und deshalb möglicherweise Inhalt ihrer Gedichte wurden. Folgend wird das Gedicht Soneto auf die formellen Merkmale analysiert, welche später bei der Übersetzung beachtet werden müssen. Weiterhin wird eine Interpretation des Gedichtes selbst dargelegt. Daraufhin folgt eine Analyse der angefertigten Übersetzung mit etwaigen Schwierigkeiten und Kommentaren zu einzelnen übersetzten Abschnitten. Abschlie end wird das Ergebnis der Analyse dargestellt und ein Fazit gezogen.
