Orasio Magnus è un ragazzino dai poteri insoliti: ha inghiottito la 'Eight Element Candy', una caramella che dona degli straordinari poteri. Ogni caramella magica (magic candy) conferisce specifici poteri a chi la mangia (candy wizard), attivabili attraverso determinati oggetti (detti catalizzatori). La 'Eight Element', in particolare, consente a Orasio di controllare gli otto elementi primordiali (Fuoco, Terra, Acqua, Aria, Legno, Metallo, Fulmine e Vuoto). Orasio decide di diventare un candy wizard per rintracciare suo fratello Gullielmo che, usando male i propri poteri, ha distrutto la città di Maternus e la loro famiglia. Per trovarlo e riempirlo di botte, Orasio ha bisogno del 'Cerca-wizard', un radar che localizza i candy wizard. L'unico modo di ottenerlo è rubarlo a Don Ade, il boss di AciCastle. Intrufolatosi nella Rocca del boss, Orasio viene sbattuto in prigione. Lì, conoscerà Tetsuko e il semi-muto Jack, dei wizard privati dei loro catalizzatori. Quando Orasio rivela l'intenzione di evadere, Tetsuko e Jack decidono di seguirlo per recuperare i catalizzatori. Dopo aver battuto Mc'Koi, il capo della sicurezza, e la Badog Team, composta da quattro cagnacci, i tre ragazzi si avviano verso gli alloggi del boss. Nel frattempo, Don Ade è alla ricerca del ladro 'M', che ha rubato il suo 'Cerca-wizard'. Il ladro, però, ha dimenticato il carica-batterie, quindi dovrà ritornare. Per tale ragione vengono mobilitati gli scagnozzi più forti: i Gemelli Eterogenei (Cayo, Tizyo e Sempronyo). Orasio & Co per accedere al piano del boss si battono contro i tre gemelli e riescono a spuntarla. Però qualcuno ha già sconfitto Don Ade: è stato Gullielmo! Prima che questi possa spiegare cosa è accaduto a Maternus, Orasio lo attacca ma... è pur sempre il suo fratellone! Così, sfruttando tale esitazione, Gullielmo svela a Orasio tutta la verità.
