Main Street is fighting back against Wall Street. But what's the next step? How do we transform raw anger into purposeful action? How do we transform the problems that occupy the agendas of public policy debate into opportunities that could revitalize our economy? While young tech entrepreneurs are all trying to create the next big thing, they're ignoring the viral growth of anger and activism that has captured the attention of America. What's wrong with this picture? Why can't we integrate the tech revolution with the Occupy Movement? Why can't we apply tech ingenuity to address systemic economic problems? Why can't we transform bits and bytes into a revolution that will change the way we allocate capital and credit in the global economy? Why can't we create a revolution one digit at a time, devising new ways to pool our capital and share our resources so that we can create jobs, stimulate the economy and meet the needs of all Americans from Main Street to Wall Street? In other words, why can't we create a new code for the global operating system? Why can't we build a system that enables us to pool our capital and our creativity in a bold plan - a new Commons - a Credit Commons, where our capital works for all of us to make the system itself more efficient, more equitable and more empowering? The Credit Commons is a bridge across America from Occupy Wall Street to Silicon Valley. This book puts for a plan to build that bridge and in the process transform the raw anger into purposeful action?
