Behind the scenes, Mamapacha is revealed as a guiding light for humanity as it strives to succeed and reach for the stars. Her quiet and covert actions are found to be responsible for many events, successes and advancements that could not or would not not have occurred without Devine or extraterrestrial influence or intervention. Human relationships are found throughout the writing with respect, love, compassion and tolerance evident in principal characters. Mamapacha's Journey is for the survival of her own civilization and is played out in a setting hardly imaginable for most humans, but along the way great commonality of life's purposes and characteristics of the two life forms become apparent.

Otis V. Goodwin III was born in Birmingham, Alabama, USA in 1935. His early years were in a small southern US town with summer celebrations, church, swimming in a muddy creek, bicycling through the countryside, hayrides, football, and summers working on a farm. The local library was important to the author after WWII. The patient librarians guided him to books like authors such as H. G. Wells, Jules Verne, Roy Rockwood, Robert Heinlein and Ray Bradbury. That reading stimulated interest in a career with the US Government in the business end of aerospace technology, as well as life-long education. The language of missiles, rockets and spacecraft became very familiar. After the long career, there was time to write. There was nothing better to do than create up-to-date stories of the type that evoked the young boy's inquisitive streak and led to an interesting and exciting career. The author is retired in North Carolina with his wife of over 46 years, the love of hs life, Elizabeth.
