By focusing on atypical or marginal masculinities in each subfield, Haywood and Johansson provide an informed understanding of what it means to experience marginalization. Indeed, within this enlightening volume the chapters engage with the issue of whether it is necessary to name 'a' dominant masculinity in order to make sense of and understand the nature of marginalized masculinity.
