Understanding and mastery of the new paradigm are presented and developed as Learning to BE, Learning to LEARN, and Learning to DO. The Consulting Systems Worldview framework covers four distinct iterative and interactive phases in the consulting engagement. Two real cases provide an opportunity to use the key framework tasks and the explanation of what was actually done in these cases to reach a successful outcome. The book capitalizes on presencing - leading and learning from the future as it emerges.

Marilyn E Harris earned her PhD at the University of Michigan where she spent a decade in applied action research at the Institute for Social Research, and consulting to management in business and industry. She has balanced her professional life between academia and management consulting; heading her own consulting firm and holding adjunct appointments at several universities and business schools, both online, and in residential settings, as well as Visiting Professorships abroad driving co- created value through global networks. She has had extensive involvement in the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management ranging from Chair to Consultant in Residence.
