Urn einen Einblick in die Entwicklung der sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung zur DDR seit 1991 zu geben, werden in einern Dokumentationsteil zwei Recherchen aus den Datenbanken des Informati- onszentrums Sozialwissenschaften abgebildet. Mehr als 700 Forschungsprojekte, die von 1991 bis 1997 Eingang in die Datenbank FORIS gefunden haben, zeigen die Breite der Thernenstellungen und Me- thoden der gegenwartigen deutschspraehigen DDR-Forschung. Titel, Autoren, Institutionen, Laufzeit und Art der Projekte beschreiben die Vorhaben. Saeh- und Autorenregister erschliefien die lnhalte und ihre Bearbeiter. Die zweite Recherche stammt aus der Literaturdatenbank SOLIS und gibt Auskunft fiber Literatur, die zwischen 1991 und 1997 zum Thema "Sozialwissenschaften und Wissenschaftssy- stem der DDR" im deutschen Sprachrawn erschienen ist. Diese bibliographische Zusammenstellung ermoglicht dern Nutzer, die Auseinandersetzung wn die DDR-Sozialwissenschaften und ihren Stellen- 3 wert im Wissenschaftssystem der DDR naehzuvollziehen . Sach- und Autorenregister erleiehtem den Zugang zu den rund 300 Literaturhinweisen. Die hier vorgestellte Bestandssicherungstatigkeit der GESIS kann Dieht hoch genug veranschlagt werden, denn die Forschung, die durch sie ermoglieht wird, ist Dieht nur fur unser Land bedeutsam.
