Preface MATHEMATICS POWER FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS (MPSS) series are specially written for secondary school learners, developing the four years secondary school mathematics course. Book 1 is the first book in the series and it is specially for learners in their first year of secondary school. Other readership involving secondary school teachers, tutors and learners in Teacher Training Colleges (for both primary and secondary schools), Technical schools and institutes, etc. may find the series selectively important to their learning or class work preparations. Finally, adult learners who wish to further their knowledge in secondary school mathematics may too find the series important to them. The purpose of the series is to provide a well structured approach in numerical and analytical secondary school mathematics knowledge and skills. The organization and presentation is such that all the work is logical, coherent, comprehensive and objectively handled to equally cater for the average and the more able students. In a systematic manner using clear instructional language for explanatory notes, worked out examples, illustrations, tables, figures, etc. the book allows the reader sufficient involvement in mathematical reasoning, convenient work rate, comprehension, and to stimulate interest in the subject being studied. The concepts are related to real life experiences in order to enhance their methodical treatment as much as possible. Suleiman is a diversified innovative person with a multidisciplinary professional working experience. He is a qualified technology educator (vocational), civil/construction engineer, as well as an author. Participated in the Pearson Longman (Uganda) - Rwanda Primary School Textbooks writing project, handling upper primary school mathematics (May - June 2009). Pupils' books 4, 5 and 6, and their respective teachers' guides: - Handling tasks including, but not limited to matching manuscripts with the syllabus, manuscripts copy editing, provision of some content and illustrations, providing some answers and proofing some. Writing Mathematics School Textbooks from Upper Primary to Secondary School. Currently, writing and publishing under Namielus Educational (own small proprietorship). Primary School Mathematics Programme: A topical approach revision and practice series of eigtht (8) books, seven (7) of which are specific broad topics and the 8th is a questions and solutions book. First three (sets theory, Numbers and Fractions) are finished. Secondary School Mathematics (An Integrated Approach): A series of four (4) course books covering O-levels. Books 1 and 2 have been written and finished. Book 1 was put on market since 2007 as a pamphlet. The Power of Understanding O-level Mathematics (Revision and Practice): Was first marketed in 2007 as a pamphlet, and performed quite well. All these books are being worked on to achieved final imprint for fully published textbooks with ISBN and a bar code. . Worked as a volunteer teacher for four years at a Secondary School level, where he handled the teaching of Mathematics and Physics from senior 1 up to senior 4.
