Einleitung In der vorliegenden modulabschlie enden Hausarbeit habe ich mich mit dem Thema der Mediation befasst. Ich möchte die Konfliktlösungsmethode durch eine dritte, allparteiliche Person darstellen. Der Fokus richtet sich dabei auf Mediation im familiären Umfeld und die Situation der Kinder. Die ma gebende Fragestellung lautet in diesem Zusammenhang: Welche Bedeutung hat die Familienmediation bei hochkonflikthaften Trennungs- und Scheidungsfamilien? In dem folgenden Kapitel wird geklärt, was ein Konflikt ist, welche möglichen Konfliktarten man unterscheiden kann und darüber hinaus wird ein Überblick über verschiedene Konflikttypen gegeben, ebenfalls wird eine Zusammenfassung typischen menschlichen Verhaltens in Konflikten dargestellt. Mediation ist eine Möglichkeit für die Konfliktbewältigung. In dem dritten Kapitel werde ich vorerst einen allgemeinen Überblick über das Thema geben und Bezug darauf nehmen, was Mediation ist und welchen Ursprung der Begriff Mediation hat. Darauf aufbauend wird die allgemeine Durchführung einer Mediation thematisiert. Dabei wird in einem ersten Schritt dargestellt, welche Rolle ein Mediator einnimmt. Nachfolgend werden Mediationsregeln und der Ablauf einer Mediation mit ihren Charakteristika aufgeführt. Im vierten Kapitel wird auf die Anwendungsbereiche einer Mediation im familiären Umfeld eingegangen. Es wird zum Einen die Familienmediation thematisiert, aber auch die Situation der Kinder in hochkonflikhaften Trennungs- und Scheidungsfamilien, sowie die daraus resultierende Veränderung der Eltern-Kind-Beziehung. Abschlie end wird ein grober Überblick über Angebote von Beratungsstellen für Kinder hochkonflikthafter Eltern gegeben. In dem Fazit werde ich auf die eingangsgestellte Fragestellung eingehen und versuchen Antworten zu finden. Für ein erstes
