Dr. Oakley is a Christian speaker, teacher, and writer. She and her oldest daughter who lives near-by spend as much time together as they can. Her home is in Alabama with her husband and their two dogs. At the end of 2018, she retired from a forty-six-year career as a human resources professional. She continues to teach Sunday School in her home church.
