A book of haiku and other poems by a noted Mid-South poet based on Memphis, Tennessee. His poetry springs from wide-ranging experience connected with his family history and with local Southern cultures in Mississippi and West Tennessee. His poetry sparkles with life, deep-rooted as it is in the soil of the Mid-South.

"Billy Reed is a salty saint, sprinkling light on dark paths in a laser-speared poetry that invites us all to dance, laugh, and pray. It will bless you if you let it." --John Kilzer, Ph.D.

Poetry Salon Billy Reed is available for poetry readings at large and small social and public gatherings. To schedule a reading and book-signing, please contact the author at:

Billy Reed is a poet who lives in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee. Billy has spent his entire life living in Western Tennessee and the Mississippi Delta. He began writing stories and poems as a boy and continues that practice in the present. His favorite form for the past twenty years is haiku. Also, he writes longer poems. Billy's work, until now, has been stored in files and boxes in his home; over the past five years, he has posted a "daily" poem to his Facebook page and has engaged regular readers among his Facebook friends, including those across the U.S., Canada, England, Scotland, and Ireland.
