A tireless traveler, Armando Fuentes Aguirre, Catón, travels all the roads of Mexico. There is no state in the country to which his wanderings have not taken him. Whoever loves this country and wants to feel its genius and its figure, its heart and soul, will find in this book reasons to love it more deeply and to know it better. Catón recounts his experiences throughout the country that derive in a melting pot of Mexican popular culture: markets, music, churches, people, among many other things. About The Author

Fuentes Aguirre Catón, Armando: - (Saltillo, Coahuila, México, 8 de julio de 1938). Hizo sus primeros estudios en la Escuela Normal del Estado y en el Ateneo Fuente, prestigiosa institución de la que posteriormente sería director. Luego cursó la carrera de abogado en la Escuela de Leyes de su ciudad natal, y en la UNAM. Tiene maestrías en Lengua y Literatura Españolas y en Ciencias de la Educación, y recibió el grado de Doctor Honoris Causa por la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. En 1978 se le nombró Cronista de Saltillo. Creó Radio Concierto, una emisora cultural de la que sus paisanos se sienten orgullosos. Es igualmente fundador de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación de la Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila. Junto con su esposa María de la Luz sostiene desde hace más de 30 años un comedor para niños campesinos. Autor de numerosos libros, todos ellos éxitos editoriales, escribe diariamente para más de un centenar de publiacaciones sus artículos periodísticos "De política y cosas peores" y "Mirador". Se le considera el columnista más leído de México.
