Dabei kamen die Entwicklungen, Auswirkungen und die Erfordemisse einer V- besserung des multikulturellen Zusammenlebens unter den vielfaltigen poli- schen, sozialen und gesundheitlichen Aspekten von Migrationprozessen in unserer Gesellschaft im 21. Jahrhundert zur Sprache. Der vorliegende Band wurde dariiber hinaus thematisch erweitert, um wichtige, fur die Integration und gesundheitliche Versorgung von Migranten bedeutsame Aspekte - insbesondere auf dem Gebiet der seelischen Gesundheit - sach- und fachkundig darzustellen. Dazu konnten namhafte Autoren gewonnen werden. Die Griinde fur eine Migration, also Ubersiedlung in ein anderes Land oder - ne andere Region, sind vielfaltig. Dazu geben berufliche wie private Grunde, - nanzielle Erwagungen, Arbeits- oder Heimatsuche ebenso Anlass, wie politische Verfolgung, Krieg oder Flucht; auch eine Familienzusammenfuhrung oder eine "Heiratsmigration" sind die Motive. Doch bleiben Migrationsprozesse nicht ohne Auswirkungen. Sie konnen zu ei- ner Veranderung der Beziehungsstruktur, einer Anderung der Wohnverhaltnisse und des Lebensstandards fuhren. Ein verandertes soziales Niveau und Arbeits- sigkeit bedingen finanzielle Schwierigkeiten. Sprach- und Verstandigungsprob- me verstarken die Tendenzen zu Aus- und Abgrenzung, wodurch Identitats- und Rollenkonflikte resultieren.
