Ihm sitzt wie eine Laus im Pelz die kleine Stiftung für Psychotherapie und Psychoanalyse, die sich vor 22 Jahren kurz und bündig das Ziel setzte, das Bewusstsein der Arbeiterklasse mit den Mitteln der Psychoanalyse zu erforschen. Was aus dieser plakativen Herausforderung von dogmatischem Marxismus und verkalkter Psychoanalyse im Laufe der Jahre praktisch umgesetzt werden konnte, wird in diesem Sammelband dokumentiert, so wie das intellektuelle Umfeld zwischen Ethnopsychoanalyse und politischer Psychologie, aus welchem diese Praxis erst hervorgehen konnte. Die Spannbreite der hier versammelten und meist nicht mehr erhältlichen Aufsätze reicht vom Projekt Arbeiterbewusstsein bis zum Projekt Kritische Psychoanalyse und beinhaltet sowohl eine Kritik der marxistischen und Freud'schen Religionskritik, als auch eine eigenwillige Narzissmusrezeption und die Mühen einer pionierhaften Psychotherapie der Emigration und der Armut. Die Ökonomie der Psychoanalyse nicht Begüterter wird als Praxis der delegierten Psychotherapie in der Schweiz ebenso ernsthaft dargestellt wie die Selbstreflexion der als Teil der Psychoszene verstandenen eigenen Position lustvoll-ironisch nachgezeichnet. Emilio Modena ist Arzt, Psychoanalytiker und Psychotherapeut in eigener Praxis in Zurich. Er ist Mitbegrunder, Dozent und Supervisor des selbstverwalteten Psychoanalytischen Seminars Zurich sowie Prasident und wissenschaftlicher Leiter der von ihm gegrundeten Zurcher Stiftung fur Psychotherapie und Psychoanalyse.
