This treatment is suitable for advanced undergraduates and graduate students and professional engineers in astronautics. Each chapter presents relevant exercises of varying difficulty, and the text includes a section of answers to selected exercises.

Marshall H. Kaplan received his MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and his PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Sciences from Stanford. He is Professor of Practice at the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland and the author of many articles and contributions to books in the field of astronautics.
