Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit war die Feststellung bei Besuchen in Krankenhäusern, da das Thema kaum bekannt ist oder aber sofort mit Gegenargumenten wie "das machen wir schon seit 20 Jahren so" oder "wiedermal ein neuer Begriff, um etwas zu verkaufen". Gemeinhin wird unter Facility Management Outsourcing und damit Personalabbau verstanden. Ziel der Arbeit ist die Darstellung der Möglichkeiten von Facility Management, die neue Sichtweise, Philosophie und die Beleuchtung der Hindernisse. Diese stecken vor allem in den Köpfen der Entscheidungsträger und entstehen aus subjektivem Empfinden. Es besteht gro e Angst vor Abhängigkeiten vom exteren Dienstleister und Know-how-Verlust. Die Diplomarbeit gibt einen allgemeinen Überblick über die Definitionen und Begriffe, die Marktanbieter und die Einsparpotentiale von Facility Management. Es ist keine technische Arbeit, sondern betrachtet das Thema aus der betriebswirtschaftlichen Sichtweise. Ausgewählte Abschnitte der Arbeit: - Energiekennzahlen: Hier kommt deutlich heraus, wie die Öffentlichkeitsscheu als Hindernis wirkt. Niemand will sich in die Karten schauen lassen, denn dann mü te man ja eigene Defizite und Verschwendung zugeben oder es sind keine verwertbaren Zahlen vorhanden. - Argumentationskette über Einsparpotentiale durch Facility Management: Hier erfolgt die Darstellung der Philosophie des Lebenszyklusansatzes, ein Instandhaltungsmanagementsystem mit Controlling mit praktischem Beispiel, Einsparungen durch Umweltschutzma nahmen, Performance Contracting und Energiemanagement. - Marktanalyse: Darstellung von Untersuchungen über das Marktpotential aus Anbietersicht und die Einstellungen der Nachfragerseite. - EDV: Hier wurden die Auswahlkriterien für einen sinnvollen EDV-Einsatz erläutert und die Vorgehensweise bei der Einführung von EDV. - Rechtliche und steuerliche Aspekte: Gerade in diesem Bereich werden sehr viele Fehler gemacht, so das erzielte Einsparungen zu nichte gemacht werde
